Mr. Serge de Blois, President and Founder

of Global R&D Consulting Group has 22 years experience in R&D tax credit consulting, and is a recognized expert in the R&D tax credit field. With specialization in the field of R&D tax credit recovery since 1986, he has been retained by a broad range of industries across North America and in Europe to assist and consult regarding tax credit recovery initiatives. Mr. de Blois gave a series of conferences across Canada on the federal R&D Tax Credit Program for the agri-food industry, and has been involved in development of government initiatives to finance R&D tax credits for small and medium size businesses. He also published several technical papers and studies dealing with various funding methods for R&D projects and developed a Policy and Guidelines on the Stacking of Government Assistance for Fisheries and Oceans Canada. He also took part in the development of a financing structure for the North American version of a major European Eureka R&D project. Mr. de Blois specializes in technical and financial eligibility assessment, and international R&D tax credit programs. He holds a B. Sc. Degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Montreal.

Ms. Christine Ermarkaryan, Vice-President

of Global R&D Consulting Group is based in Mississauga and has over 15 years experience in industry. Prior to joining Global R&D, Christine was a Project Manager with the Industrial Division at Zenon Environmental, a global leader in water treatment equipment and membrane design. Prior to this, Christine was a Project Engineer at Ecodyne Limited focusing mainly on water treatment as well as the development of an in-house IT system. In addition, Christine also has several years of experience as a Technical Writer both for the water treatment industry and the power generation industry from her years at Ontario Hydro.

As of 2000, Christine has been supporting Global R&D's practice in Canada. She has developed experience with research and experimentation claims of clients in a diverse array of industries; including those involved with water treatment, steel, textiles, software, plastics, chemical supply, automotive, tool and dye manufacturing, lighting systems and food processing.

Christine holds a B.Eng & Mgmt. (Bachelor of Engineering and Management) and an MBA. (Masters of Business Administration) from McMaster University. She is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 1993.

M. Joel Barmish, Vice-President, Technology

Prior to joining Global R&D, Joel spent ten years as CEO of a seventy-five-person software development company that he founded. He was instrumental in establishing the company as one of the leading suppliers of collaborative product development software used by leading U.S. private label retailers and manufacturers. He sold the company to a large internet holding company.

Before that time, he spent fifteen years as managing partner of a ten person-consulting firm providing services for strategic planning, management organization, systems, engineering productivity improvement and government grants to consumer products manufacturers. Joel's experience in R&D tax credit consulting comes primarily from his practical experience in managing the recovery of many millions of dollars of tax credits for his own software company.

Joel holds a BS (Electrical Engineering) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Chicago. As a Global R&D consultant, Joel has worked on projects that include software, automation and manufacturing.
